Our Methodology

The whole calculation, and every place its inputs come from.

To ensure accuracy, all asset and gold pricing figures are retrieved via public APIs. The system references real-time market feeds for current calculations and historical archive rates for any closed hawl period.

04Zakat Breakdown

Which price, and from where

How Tokens are Priced

Current prices: We use Jupiter's verified list for today's assets.

Old prices: We pull historical data from DefiLlama's archive.

Accuracy check: If a price quote is off by more than 3 days or looks sketchy, we throw it out instead of guessing.

How Gold is Priced

The Goal: We need the gold price for the exact day a tracking period closes to figure out the nisab threshold.

The Source: We pull the price of Paxos Gold (PAXG) tokens directly from the DefiLlama archive so your crypto and gold assets are tracked together at that exact moment.

The Math: One PAXG token equals one troy ounce. We divide that price by 31.1034768 to get the price per gram.
